Death Will be the Life of Me

Is it any wonder we are constantly being dragged down by the trials and tribulations of life; none of us will ever get out alive! Albeit a sobering thought, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. By the time you get to the end of life, secretly we are glad to be rid of the old body and forgetful mind we ended up with after years trying to outwit death.

Because I am a scientific thinker and watch Morgan Freeman’s “Through the Wormhole” and other like programs religiously, I now understand that science thinks we may not even really be alive and that death is just an awakening to that fact. Hold the phone; say that again please. Let me see if I have this right – I am really not alive, and when I die I will awaken to what is my real life? Excuse me while I slap myself silly trying to grasp this concept!

One thing is for sure…my dead life just got a hell of a lot more interesting. Is it possible there is life after death without having to delve headlong into religious insanity where a white bearded God sits on a throne up in the sky somewhere just waiting to cast us into hell for being human? I do not mean to disrespect religion; I realize there are millions of people who need this kind of assurance tempered with fear. I am just not one of them.

I find it interesting that science is now saying that God may indeed exist in the form of atoms which store information of everything that has happened, is happening and will happen in the universe. If an atom knows everything there is to know, would not they (the atoms) not qualify for our definition of God? So there it is; our elusive God was in plain sight (but only seen using an electron microscope) all along. Instead of looking up, we should have been looking within.

So instead of one giant, infinite God, we now have very small infinite ones all connected throughout this universe which is connected to other infinite universes. Which means my head is about to explode with the possibilities. That’s what is so exciting about the new science of reconciliation of the physical and the spiritual human. We are embarking on new ways of thinking that don’t just include scientists, but embrace religious thinkers too!

Let’s face it, in order to understand why we are here, where did we come from and what our purpose is in the scheme of things, it will take all of us working together, as one, to finally get the answers we seek. I no longer believe that we have to wait until our deaths – the answer is hiding in plain sight.

So while I may be dead waiting to die so I can live, I am having a ball learning new and exciting concepts that boggle the mind. Since we only use a fraction of our brains, it’s about time something boggled mine. Wake up, Sleeping Beauty, it’s time to learn!
