I’m sitting here on Sunday morning at 3 am wondering what to do with myself. Sunday Funnies have been a habit for many years and old habits are hard to break. I already worked on my newest novel “Rex” and now I am twiddling my thumbs saying “duh?” I have nothing profound to write because I am saving it for my book and next Thursday I start my new full-time job as a superintendent on a custom home in Sedona.
After nine years of retirement, my family can’t figure out why I am returning to work. Well, actually it is simple…they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Also, there was a classic Dodge Ram truck for sale in Tucson and I just had to have it. Drove that puppy home yesterday and she is parked in the driveway calling my name for a car show next month in Camp Verde. I also started to miss saying…Thank God it is Friday. My son Jay thinks I am totally insane. He is racking his brain trying to figure out how to retire and I am going back to work at 75 years young. Not one time since I married his mother did I ever say I was sane….
